A 24-hour city is a densely populated area where business, trade and culture live around the clock. The city's character and use changes throughout the 24-hour cycle. How can we activate and experience the city in new ways at all hours of the day in a safe and profitable way?
The 24-hour city can contribute to more jobs, more activity, generate economic growth and investment. However, it can also have disadvantages related to the population's health, i.e. alcohol consumption, noise and stress.

In conversation with the former night mayor of Amsterdam, Mirik Milan, OMA's event will focus on issues such as the night economy, safety, inclusion, creativity, and night owls. Aiming to provide broad perspectives on how we include and plan the night hours in new ways.

Victoria Marie Evensen, Vice Mayor of Business and Public Ownership
